To help local talent, Jammu and Kashmir Police are holding music contest, India News News

Although we have always known Jammu and Kashmir Police as the counter insurgency force, they have also tried to bridge the gap and connect with the valley youths. They offer various activities engaging young people in different art forms.

To give a boost to local talent in the Kashmir Valley, JK Police organized a ‘Choona Hai Aasman’ music competition which was held at Tagore Hall Srinagar. Inspector General of J&K Police, Vijay Kumar was the main host while Snehal Priyanka was the main guest on the occasion.

J&K Police is committed to providing a platform for talented people, especially young people in various fields. This event has been a successful initiative of J&K Police for many years and was not held before due to the pandemic.

”The sole purpose of these programs is to provide a platform for those children who are otherwise unable to explore opportunities to showcase their talent in front of the world. The program will continue to provide opportunities for the many talented young people in Jammu and Kashmir. These talented participants will now be offered a greater platform at the UT level. ” said Vijay Kumar, IG Kashmir.

In today’s zonal level competition, a total of 20 participants from three different age categories, who had qualified at three range levels, competed. At the end, trophies, certificates and cash prizes were distributed to the winners of each age group as well as to the other participants and members of the jury.

In the sub-junior category, the first position was won by Moin-ud-Din, the second position by Rahil Ali and the third position by Tabish Hafeez. In the Junior category, the first position was won by Basit Yatoo, the second by Bisma Sajad and the third by Mohd Inaytullah. In the senior category, the first position was won by Owais Ashraf, the second position by Junaid Ahmad and the third position by Ms. Sheema.

Winners of zonal level competitions will now participate in the UT level competition. DIG CKR, DIG NKR, SSP Srinagar, SSP PCR Kashmir were among the other officers who graced the occasion with their presence.
