A new book that details every song KoRn has ever written will be released in the UK next month.
Korn: Every album, every song by British author Matt Karpe promises a deep dive into the lyrics, song compositions and stories behind every track the American nu-metal band has ever written. It features B-sides, standalone singles, never-before-seen material, and songs that have only ever appeared on movie and game soundtracks.
The book, due out in the UK on November 25 and the rest of the world on January 28, 2022, will also tell the group’s history via song profiles.
It opens with a dissection of KoRn’s 1993 demo “Neidermayer’s Mind” and extends to songs from the band‘s last album, “The Nothing”, released in 2019.
Songs from their 13 studio albums are analyzed, from KoRn’s eponymous debut album in 1994 to their groundbreaking LP “Follow The Leader” (1998) as well as “Take A Look In The Mirror” in 2003 and “The Path Of Totality”.
This is the fourth book by music journalist and author Karpe, who also published the book Nu Metal: A Definitive Guide earlier in 2021. Its nu-metal guide documents the genre and movement and features exclusive interviews with members of bands such as Coal Chamber, Staind and Taproot.
In other KoRn news last month, it was revealed that band’s rhythm guitarist James ‘Munky’ Shaffer had tested positive for COVID and would not be playing the band’s upcoming concerts.
He followed leader Jonathan Davis who contracted the disease earlier in August, which left him with ‘aftermath’ of Covid that forced him to sit down.
