K-pop group’s ‘Needle & Bubble’ album to be released on March 15

On February 28, Pledis Entertainment announced that NU’EST would disband in March. Baekho and Minhyun renewed their contracts with Pledis Entertainment while JR, Aron and Ren decided to leave the label. On March 15, the K-pop group’s compilation album Needle and Bubble will fall. The album will honor the band’s 10th anniversary.

NU’EST will release an album titled ‘Needle & Bubble’

Following the announcement of NU’EST’s upcoming disbandment, the group announced that a final album will be released in mid-March.

Needle and Bubble will be a compilation album of NU’EST’s most popular and beloved songs. The tracklist hasn’t been released yet, so it’s a mystery which songs will be chosen to be released on the album.

According to a press release, “This marks a special return for the group as the album is released on March 15, NU’EST’s 10th anniversary since their debut. In The Best Album, NU’EST looks back on the journey of 10 years of the group and on the evolution of their music. The album will include the message of the group dedicated to their official fan club ‘LOΛ.E’, arousing a lot of curiosity around the title of the album, Needle and Bubbleas well as the story behind it.

NU’EST will disband in March

NU’EST debuted with Pledis Entertainment on March 15, 2012. Their latest album Needle and Bubble will be released on what would have been the 10th anniversary of the K-pop group’s debut.

On February 28, Pledis Entertainment released a Weverse announcement detailing NU’EST’s disbandment. According to the announcement, the quintet’s contracts officially end the day before. Needle and Bubble drops.

In Weverse’s post, Pledis Entertainment wrote:

“The exclusive artist contract with NU’EST will be concluded from March 14. Our company and the members of NU’EST have conducted extensive reflection and discussions on the future of the individual members and what would be the best path for everyone and how they can present themselves in their best light.

JR, ARON and REN decided to start from scratch after leaving our company. BAEKHO and MINHYUN will renew their contracts. We respect and support each member’s decisions, as they are the result of careful and thorough review and discussion.

When will the “Needle & Bubble” tracklist be available?

On March 3, NU’EST shared a calendar of promotions for Needle and Bubble on social networks. From March 5 to 10, teaser photos of the individual members and the group will be posted on social media.

The tracklist of Needle and Bubble will be shared on March 11, and different music video teasers will be released on March 13 and 14. Needle and Bubble and a music video will be released on March 15.

In Weverse’s announcement, Pledis Entertainment shared that “NU’EST will end their official activities as PLEDIS Entertainment’s NU’EST with their album…”
