In 2018, Tampa Bay fans of emo group Dashboard Confessional experienced the ultimate heartbreak: Before his second performance at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg that year, frontman Chris Carrabba had a family emergency that required his presence, so that Dashboard cancels its appearance here, as well as others in Dashboard’s hometown of Boca Raton and Atlanta.

Co-headliners All Time Low and Gnash continued without the quintet in St. Pete and Atlanta, (Boca Raton was canceled outright, which is understandable), but there was no sign of Carrabba. co. has been rocking to Florida since then. Between COVID-19, the stop of the group’s 2020 tour with The Get Up Kids – which was ready to stop at the House Of Blues in Orlando, and one Motorcycle accident in June 2020 It left him wondering if he would play again, who knew when Dashboard would be able to recover from the emo kids of Tampa?

Thankfully, the band’s only songwriter has since recovered from his accident, and now the icon behind “Cries of infidelity” has mapped out an “Unplugged” acoustic tour that will visit Jannus Live on September 10th. Joining Dashboard on certain tour dates – that date in St. Pete included – is This Wild Life emo royalty, as well as Armon Jay with his solo material. Jay has been playing lead guitar for Dashboard since 2015, so it’ll be twice in one night that we get to see him.

Tickets are already on saleand cost $ 27.50 each, plus fees. This is Jannus Live after all, it goes without saying that tickets are only for standing.
